What Happens After Death are we Reborn
Neither. It is not we but our soul atman that was the master and controller of human body. After death of human body, our soul atman immediately manifested a new body to start new journey of life. The new body manifested by our soul atman could never be recognized by our bereaved family members and friends. It was altogether a new journey, a new body manifested by our soul atman.
After death of mortal body, we as a soul atman left for heaven or hell (swarga and naraka in Hinduism) only if matching parents were not available on mother earth. We as a soul atman hibernated in heaven (swarga) if the residual balance of karma at the time of death was positive and in hell (naraka), if negative. Both heaven and hell existed in sun.
The concept of we going to heaven and hell or reincarnating again was an absolute misnomer. The physical I was limited to present earthly domain of 70 to 80 years. The moment death overtook us, we lost our identity forever. In the next manifestation by our soul atman, it will be a new human being, a new journey of life. We must never forget we had only one life to live, the present earthly domain.
For souls’ atmans hibernating in heaven or hell, soon matching parents becomes available on mother earth; the hibernating soul atman immediately manifests a new body to start new cycle of life. Both heaven and hell were interim place of stay for souls’ atmans, nothing more (until they get a new body).
